DESCRIPTION

Product Description:

Dye Penetrant inspection is used to locate grinding cracks, welding cracks, fatigue cracks, shrinkage blow – holes, seams, laps, pores, sold, shuts, porosity etc. and at the same time it is a non destructive testing method.

There are three chemical is been used for dye penetrant inspection:
(1) CLEANER                    AAM- 151

(2) DYE PENETRANT      AAM –  152  
(3) DEVELOPER                AAM – 153

Inspection Procedure:

  • Make the surface free from grease, oil and rust or any other foreign particles of the flow detection.
  • Remove the Rust by wire brushing and then clean with the cleaner (AAM – 151)
  • Then the Scale by wire brushing and then clean with the cleaner (AAM – 151)
  • Then after spray or brush / dip Dye Penetrant(AAM -152) on the article and allow it to remain for a period called PENETRATION TIME which varies for material and type of defect.
  • The excess of Penetrant should be removed from the surface by using cleaner (AAM – 151) and then after spraying of Developer (AAM – 153) gives visible pinkish indication of defects.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
(1) Shake Well before use.
(2) Proper ventilation
(3) Keep away from flame
(4) Do not puncture the can.
(5) Do not take Internally
(6) Temp. should not be exceed above 50°C to 55°C
